The Job

I’ve been calling in sick

My bad, I haven’t posted anything in the past two days but I have an excuse! And believe me it’s a good one, at least I think. I’ve been going to bed really late this month, so that’s one of the main reasons I “forget” to post.

This is yours to conquer...

Okay, how to start? Right, I haven’t posted on Friday night. Friday was a P.D. day, meaning we had no school. Usually I would have had stayed home and do nothing but a friend and I decided to meet up in Ottawa to spend some time together. We did two shopping malls, one hotel (ok…we didn’t actually get a room…we just walked trough it) and we did a lot of streets. But it was SO fun! Like I’m glad I didn’t stay home and do nothing…out here in the country it sometimes gets really boring and people get lonely quite often. After having eaten lunch we headed to the movie theatre to catch our movie “17 Again” which was playing at 1:00. Let’s say that we made it just in time...like we stepped into the room and the movie was starting. It was actually good, not epic; good. When we left the city we needed to pick up my brother’s friend along the way so they could work on their English project. Friday night was relatively calm like we didn’t do much.

Next up was Saturday and I had a lot of unnecessary work to do, like help my little brother and his friend do their English project which consisted of a mini film on a book they read in class. This project consumed a lot of my day…but in the end I’m sure that my contribution to their academic success will be much appreciated. Either way it’s free publicity. I had planned to go see my friend’s show at school that night, which I did. It was this theatre play that they had to put up in less than 24 hours and I found it pretty good. While waiting for the show to start I was in the school entrance doing nothing on my BlackBerry when all of a sudden the sky outside became super dark and some girls at the windows were starting to scream. Okay, I’m not lying; there was actually a mini-tornado like people weren’t even able to open the doors! That’s proof that the suction was very strong. So the show went on and like I said it was awesome. We left Ottawa to go back home and many streets were closed because of the strong winds. Many people didn’t have electricity.

The passion that burns within...

When we pulled into the driveway we saw that there was no electricity…hell no…it’s like 11:00 at night and its pitch black. So I immediately went to bed to avoid being stuck in this chaos. It was so hot in the house, like I couldn’t sleep in my bed so I ended up lying on the floor. It was like midnight and I was still talking on the phone, freaking myself out with scary images in my mind when all of a sudden I heard this faint chime outside in the yard (my window was open to let some air in). My dog starts growling intensively and I’m too freaked out to get up and look out of the window. The chime suddenly starts to get louder and louder until it’s like almost near my window. I couldn’t stand it anymore; I crept up to my window and peeked outside. It was there, standing in the driveway, this creepy black four legged creature (probably a stray dog) that looked at me under the midnight sky…AHHHHH!!!! I was so freaked out…I even think I was stressing my friend on hold on the phone. Anyways, I fell asleep shortly afterwards and woke up at 4:30 in the morning when we got the power back (FINALLY!!).

Today was Sunday, nothing interesting at all…going to bed soon, see ya.
