Ready, Set, Go!

Almost there…

We’re almost there, only one more day to go and it’s a super long week end! This is awkward coming from me but for once I’d like to thanks religion for these day off! Although the weather might be killing some (including me) it’s a good temperature for sugar shacks in the regions.

Today’s temperature was actually relaxing. At 7 the sky was light blue and the sun was getting up from behind the dense forest surrounding us. My day was starting to get better and better until I receive a text from my friend saying the weather was shitty…I’m like WHAT?! At first I was like, am I going crazy or the country and the city is real far apart. But on second thought I lifted my head up and realized that the day was indeed shitty.

Winter Blues

Do I deserve this?

Not much to say about school today, we started off with a much anticipated English test (kill me now) that was linked to a text we read, which was actually very good. It was named “The man who didn’t have eyes”, or something like that. Although I finished my test in time I failed to answer the bonus question since the teacher already took like 15 minutes at the beginning of class to talk. Oh and it was a fellow classmate’s birthday today! So up for lunch was cake…delicious but yet not healthy…but it was cake…

Absolutely no need to talk about math class…we did a “test”, nothing more interesting since everybody was silent for a whole hour and a half.

The Fruit Cake

Although it wasn't as healthy as a fruit cake...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We all gathered in the staircase to celebrate our friend’s birthday and we had a blast. The only thing is that when they handed out cake I realized that the bottom of my plate was represented by a winter/Christmas scene. Even worst! The bag in which they had putted the present was a Christmas bag! Like what is this, I know that snow came back but can you make it more obvious? Anyways, I ate my cake and ignored my plate…but I took a picture of it to illustrate my irritation. And a picture of my cake to, don’t forget the cake…

Winter Wonderland

In a plate!

Next was history, we started a new subject today and we are talking about the Recession and the crash of the stock market. It’s actually interesting but I really don’t get the point. Every time I turn on the TV there is always news about the economy and how it can be compared to the worst economic crisis after the First World War and all. But really, it’s like as if I’m watching a movie, it’s happening in front of my eyes on a screen but not in my reality. I haven’t seen any sign of economic distress here in Ottawa, at all. And my teacher keeps on going how our parents might not want us to go to the cinema or go shopping with our friends since they are losing money drastically. Is it just me or that Recession BS doesn’t seem to exist…ah well…maybe one day it will hit us.

Last but not least was French. Ha! I was looking forward to that class all day because we were supposed to start reading novels of our choices and I have personally found a good one. But life doesn’t turn around me…it doesn’t listen to my wishes. I wish I had knew that the teacher was going to have a major freak out over us and go completely mad for like 30 minutes. It was unbearable. She would go from “I’m a demon” and seconds later to “OMG this is so funny”. Afterwards she pops a disk in the DVD and we watched a documentary on gamblers, which was actually not bad considering my previous experience at the Bingo last Sunday. Oh that reminds me, our French class has been chosen to do this pool on drugs and health. Like so ministry wants to know if we consume and all…very weird…but it’s in the name of science so I don’t care!

Love Stoned

Like a bullet through the head...

It's getting late and I got some stuff to work on for this week end so I’ll need to cut this short. Hope you enjoyed the delicious pictures, have a good one!
