Awesome day! It’s Tuesday and we had no school, how sick is that? Well technically we had school but we didn’t have school as in classes. Anyways, my point being that I didn’t have to worry about homework, tests or projects for one whole day, fantastic!

I've been waiting for this moment for years...

Did I even say why we missed school? Maybe not…I think I forgot to talk about it in my last post. Take the long story and make it short, some 500 students were chosen to take part in the filming of a short film named “La nuit du silence”. Our role was to walk in straight lines behind the main character who had been raped by a man. In the scene the main character walks 20 steps with us behind her, takes a pause (we stop moving) and dashes towards the man who is kneeling on the ground. In the very end she stabs him.

It was a different experience compared to everyday life. We did the same steps over and over again, the context was get up, stand still, stop, go, stop, rewind, do it all over again, and again, and again. It was so intense that we didn’t even have the time to eat. The school staff made us all stand up and stand in a line in the auditorium where one by one we were given a slice of pizza…which tasted horrible! They then made us leave the auditorium by a side door, make us walk in a hallway, turn, walk another hallway and back in the auditorium. By that time we needed to be done with lunch and ready to restart shooting, so tiring.

One Thing

Sorry, I needed to limit myslef to only one...

We finished shooting early; we came back in class just in time for the last period. My French project is seriously starting to get under my skin; it’s been going on forever (the project with the play “Les Femmes Savantes”). I just feel like giving up but I guess I can’t…or else I’ll fail…
Anyways…I’m shipping my body off to bed now…can’t wait for another day at school…(not) see ya.
