A Bloody Mess

In every single way

Blood, heads exploding, mutilated bodies, guns, explosions, guts everywhere, and much, much more. Just your typical scene of an R rated action/science-fiction film. Well, typical isn’t the word that I should use because District 9 isn’t your typical movie after all. Yes, I went to see the intriguing District 9 movie yesterday night, which was the day of the premiere in cinemas. Based on the commercials on TV the movie actually looked different, and I’m not denying that it’s not different because trust me, it’s WAY different...in a bad way. Now, I’m not really talented at writing critiques so don’t blame me for my poor communication, although I know how to paraphrase and shorten stuff into a few words. So, to summarize the whole movie I only have 3 words, not IT WAS AWESOME, more like A BLOODY MESS, and that’s meant in every single way. Why? Because you’re sitting in your chair, wondering what the story is based on and what the whole concept behind the entire plot is, hence making of it a mess...accompanied with a lot of blood. The verdict: yes I’m not pleased with the whole of the film, because honestly the trailers on TV might win Academy Awards while the movie will simply slip in its shadow. Sad to say but that’s just how things are.

I don’t feel like writing a lot tonight because I skipped out on writing yesterday since I fell asleep in the car, on my way back from the Space Needle (which is like this miniature version of the CN Tower in Canada...or maybe not quite) and all I wanted to do was sleep. Even though I got up at 8:30 today I still fell asleep in the car on my way to the locks...which was kind of awkward because I thought I had a full night of sleep. This said I’m getting up early tomorrow morning because we’re going on a hike to gaze at the beautiful Mount Rainier, with the glaciers on top, and then we’re taking another hike near Mount St-Helens, which is this active volcano that blew up, meaning it didn’t just erupt, a few years ago and turned the environment around it into a wasteland. There should be good pictures opportunity, although I only have my point and shoot camera with me at the moment. I’ll keep you posted tomorrow.

Now I’m heading to bed now because I’m really tired, although we didn’t do much of our day, other than getting stuck in massive traffic we saw some HUGE salmon down by the locks, which was pretty cool. Have a good one, each and every one of you. Take care!

I added new pictures by the way on deviantART. Check it out; the link is in the left margin.
