Not My Crowd

It’s just human nature

I just came back from my baseball game that’s part of this weekend long tournament, and let me just say that it really was something. The baseball part was fine, I had fun and I even got the chance to score a point…which is really hard because of the whole concept behind being fair and everything, hence men are obliged to swing on their wrong side and after an advance of 5 points the winning team’s male members must swing with only one hand. Hard, I know, but it sure doesn’t take the fun out of the game. The “something” was this gang of people that used to go to my school, well…some, who were completely drunk while others were stoned; not very pleasant when you try to meet up with them in such a state. I guess it’s just not my crowd after all, and maybe it will never be. Heck, maybe destiny wants me to stay away from the “cool” kids…the social and stereotypical norm of “us” teenagers. There’s nothing I can do about it and as long as they stay out of my way everything I don’t have anything against them.

Guess what! My parents decided today that they were definitely buying a hot tub! It’s so exciting! Okay maybe I’m overreacting but we wanted one in forever and now we can finally add this new addition to our backyard, meaning that we can take a swim in the pool during summer and take a dip in the hot tub during winter. Although I’m not a huge fan of water sports and swimming, etc, I’m sure we’re going to make good usage of it. On my way to the hot tub store I dropped off some flowers at Em’s house as a welcome back gift. I thought it would be kind on my behalf to do so, and in the end she really appreciated it.

It sure makes you feel well when you see your mom, sitting on a swing in a park with one of your best friend right and front of her, and they’re talking. It shows at what point you’re parents are dedicated to your social life and how they appreciate your choice of influential people around you. I love my parents for everything they do and above all for their charisma with all of my friends. I don’t know anybody who hates my parents, because they simply get along very well! I’m glad that my parents are always there for me to catch me when I fall…

So it’s getting pretty late, and this never gets old. My brother has two friends over and for once they aren’t annoying or anything. He’s slowly making better friends, and it’s an improvement. Better head off to bed now because I have another baseball game tomorrow, wish me luck!

P.S.: Forgot to mention that we actually won the baseball game…oups…
