Before I start talking about the main subject of this post I just want to state that I’m done with my very first week of 11th grade. What a relief? Right, still have some 30 something weeks or more to go; hopefully it will go by very fast.
I have a problem; I’m not able to say no. Every time somebody asks me to do something for them I say yes, without hesitation. It’s becoming kind of a problem because I’m putting other people in front of myself. This said, my friend Steph called me up on Friday night to ask me if I could take another friend’s shift at the aviation museum on Saturday morning from 11 to 3. Of course I answered yes, because I’d rather be doing that than being on a couch all day.

Now I got up at 9 this morning, got ready as usual, ate 2 Nutella toasts (that stuff is good, never tasted it before but now I’m hooked on it; it’s chocolate in a jar…but that’s good for you!) when suddenly one of my friend text’s me and ask me if I can please go online and check her mobile phone bill for her because some construction guys cut their cord at home. I said yes, I did…and I needed to leave home at 10 when it was 9:45. I took to many things, because I didn’t really have time to get her thing done so I just left it there. So I get to the aviation museum on time, and we’re 2 people working in the cafeteria, being Steph and I. Let me enumerate everything that possibly went wrong during the day…
1. I get there and this man comes up to the counter and starts yapping on how the place shouldn’t been run by “kids” and that we don’t know what we’re doing, blah blah blah. I really wanted to tell him to shut up at some point but some nice man told him instead.
2. A man comes up to the counter and asks for two cups of boiling water. Right next to him stand his two kids, one being about 6 years old and the other one being about 3. When Steph put the cups on the counter the 3 year old boy tries to reach for it and accidentally spills all of the content on him. PANIC!!!! The man picks up his son and starts screaming out that he needs ice cold water. Next thing you know the kid is in the kitchen sink and some employees are trying to help out. I could see from my angle that the kid was pretty badly burnt. In the end they brought the poor boy to the hospital, and by that time he was still crying and screaming.
3. The coffee machine busted twice, meaning that the coffee was spilling everywhere on the counter and onto the floor, like a massive flood. After today my shoes smell like coffee.
4. Busiest day of the year, Steph had never seen that much people at the cafeteria in her employee life. Let’s just say that I chose the right day to say yes…

These voices, they're drawing me closer to the edge!

But to end a day in a positive way what do you do? You go buy you’re camera that you wanted FOREVER!!! Yes! I finally bought the camera I wanted, although it’s not a Canon EOS 50d. Instead I opted for the model that comes diertly acfter it, being the Canon EOS 500d, also known as the Canon EOS Rebel T1i. It’s absolutely wonderful, and I took my very first picture called “It’s In My Head” posted above. I now have a camera and two lenses, and its works for me so much!! I’m really happy, as you can see.
