Yes Or No?!

OMG!

First sunny day in forever! I was seriously wondering if they always had cloudy skies here in Seattle because of the huge mountains that surround the city. I guess I was wrong because today the sun came out of his hole! And what do you do when it’s super sunny? Well you head outside of course. This is why we decided to head in the downtown area where the market is situated. That place is unbelievable; to bad I didn’t have any camera on me apart from my BlackBerry because they were some very nice shot opportunity. But in the end I didn’t really want to run around with a camera and ignore the people that were around me, because that would just be stupid because I’m having a blast with my aunt and her boyfriend. I didn’t buy anything, thank god because I’m nearly broke. But see, the thing is I really want some yellow converses, like mentioned in yesterday’s post, I think. So we went around the city and we looked a bit, but no such luck, until we pass in front of a store named Sneaker City or something like that and my aunt asked me if I wanted to go in. Although I was hesitant at first I gave in at the end. There were a wide variety of converses but not the type I was looking for. Too bad, I guess I just don’t need them after all.

What else can you do on a sunny day? Take a walk along the beach of course. But it’s kind of weird here, because you have everybody in bathing suits, tanning on the beach, but nobody is actually swimming in the water. Why is that so? Maybe because the water is so damn cold. Even in the middle of summer the temperature of the water isn’t favourable for swimming. Although I must say that the beach and the view from where we were sitting was magnificent, breath taking to a certain point because the whole context seemed like a mix of two different locations, being a sandy beach from Mexico and an alpine forest background for dear old Canada.

And I forgot to mention that we visited the very last photography shop here in Seattle, not because I visited them all but more because I finally got mom and dad’s consent regarding the purchase of my new Canon EOS 50D...and it’s a green light! I can finally proceed to the purchase of the camera...only as soon as I get back to Canada. It’s because the prices here in the United-States might be lower but in the end with all the money conversion, taxes, warranties, it seems as if I’m better off buying the camera in Canada where I’ll be able to return the product if ever something goes wrong. And I finally made my decision on what I’m going to buy with the camera. Here, at first I was really inclined to this Sigma lens that I saw online and I really wanted it...but I’m really new to photography and I still don’t know much so if I stick to the industry I’d be better off with the kit that Canon offers, being the camera’s body, an extra battery, a filter, a protective bag, as well as a standard 18-200 IS Canon lens with image stabilizer. This lens will let me zoom in further more and I will greatly benefit of this if I desire to take wildlife photography. Anyways, my point was that I’m getting my new camera once and for all and I’m super thrilled and happy as well as looking forward to the purchase, but let’s not rush things since I’m in Seattle with my aunt and nothing can make me want to leave this place! Quick parentheses, I was amazed when my mom told me the cost of the camera’s warranty, being 400$...it’s crazy...yet worth it.

It’s getting kind of late here and I better go to bed since I’m going hiking tomorrow with my aunt. I’m so looking forward to this hike since the view is supposedly phenomenal. My aunt makes me discover so many new things, I like her so much! I don’t know what I’d do without her! Got to go now, enjoy!
